Meet Team Wasaga at the Upcoming All-Candidates Meetings

With voting just around the corner, Wasaga Beach residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates seeking to represent our community.

Members of Team Wasaga will be participating in upcoming all-candidates events, and we encourage residents to come out, ask questions and learn more about the choices in this year’s municipal election.

Thursday, October 8, 2026 Presented by Wasaga Beach Ratepayers Inc.

The evening will provide residents with opportunities to meet Councillor candidates one-on-one and hear directly from candidates for Deputy Mayor and Mayor.

5:00–6:45 PM — Councillor Candidates Meet candidates individually, ask questions and hear about their priorities for Wasaga Beach.

7:00–7:30 PM — Deputy Mayor Candidates Deputy Mayor Tanya Snell and the other invited candidate will present their platforms, answer moderator questions and participate in the forum.

7:30–9:00 PM — Mayoral Candidates Mayor Brian Smith and the other invited mayoral candidates will present their platforms, answer questions and participate in the debate.

Team Wasaga Councillor candidates Joe Belanger, Faye Ego, Ellen Timms and Richard White have also been invited to participate in the Councillor portion of the event.

The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is also hosting a business-focused election debate on Wednesday, October 7 at the RecPlex.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the debate beginning at 7:00 PM. The event will focus on issues affecting Wasaga Beach businesses and will feature candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Registration is required and attendance is limited to Wasaga Beach business owners and business representatives.

Municipal elections are an opportunity to ask questions, compare priorities and decide what direction you want for Wasaga Beach.

We encourage residents to attend, hear directly from the candidates and make an informed choice.
